Scottish Countryside Alliance Awards winners for 2008 PDF Print E-mail

The Scottish Countryside Alliance Awards winners were announced by Rural Affairs Minister Roseanna Cunningham MSP at a Holyrood Reception on Wednesday 11th February 2009. Congratulations to the best of 2008!

2008's winners have been announced as:

Rural Hero Craig Stevenson of Braehead Foods
Rural Enterprise Award – Loch Visions, Argyll
Village Shop/Post Office Award – Bridge of Cally, Perthshire
Traditional Business Award – Tom S. Ironside, Aberdeenshire
Local Food Award – Delfour Trout Hatchery, Badenoch and Strathspey

All eyes are now on Westminster as the Countryside Alliance Awards reach a crescendo at a winners' reception on 18th March 2009. Scotland's winners will be there to hear who has been named the All-UK champions, so fingers crossed for Scotland's first ever UK title in four years of these Awards. We know we have the calibre!

The 2009 Awards will open to nominations in the Autumn.
